I am originally from Norway and trained as an aircraft mechanic there
Norwegian Air Force, where I worked on the F-16.
When the F-16 was phased out and the F-35 was coming in, there would be new challenges, but they would consist of easy and simple "service work". Since I wanted a challenge, I applied to Oslo to work at Hercules. A large, old transport aircraft in need of extensive repair.
This never happened. Because in May 2018, after becoming single on January 1, I took a trip to Denmark to visit a friend with whom I had become acquainted over the Internet.
It was on that trip that I met my friend's sister...
With that connection, I said no to being transferred to Hercules, quit my job and rented accommodation, said goodbye to my family and friends, and moved to Denmark.
All in just over 3 months.
In a completely new country, with no one to lean on other than my newfound partner,
I had to redefine myself.
This started a whole new career as a Physical Therapist, based on a few of my core values:
